Just steps from the Aldgate East Tube station in East London, this multi-level venue has built a reputation as the city’s most exclusive (read: appearance-vetted) lifestyle club. And whether you love that or loathe it, you’ll definitely have a lot to look at.

👀 First Impressions – Le Boudoir wants you to know it’s not your average basement sex club. The vibe starts at the door, where phones are politely confiscated and guests are expected to look polished and party-ready. The crowd leans younger (20s to 40s) and very conventionally attractive – especially the women, who are clearly the focus of the vetting process. If your BMI is above 25 or you’re over 50, you might not make the cut. Let’s just say it’s giving “Soho House…but sluttier.”
Despite the strict standards, the staff are welcoming, the space is clean, and you will feel like you’ve entered a curated world of beautiful bodies and expensive. It’s housed in a converted medical dispensary, so there’s character for days and stairs for miles. You’ll be working those heels. Once inside, it’s clear this club doesn’t do half-assed décor – no thrift-store couches or sad string lights here. Just plush, moody elegance and real design intention.
🎟️ Inside Tour – Housed in a former medical dispensary, the space is full of character – with exposed brick walls, moody lighting, and winding staircases that lead you from fantasy to fantasy. Le Boudoir is stacked, literally. The club spans three floors, each offering a different flavor of debauchery. Each level has its own vibe, and wandering through the club feels a bit like peeling back layers of someone’s dream diary. The entry level is a lounge-meets-dance floor with sultry lighting and soft couches that scream, “You’ll be naked later.” Head upstairs to the “tantric” room, a sexy play space featuring multiple beds and a massive communal bed where once 12 people were going at it, give or take a leg. The basement? It’s a vibe – a fully-equipped dungeon, a pitch-black dark room where hands (and body parts) roam free, and a handful of private playrooms for extra privacy. But be warned: there are a lot of stairs, and if you’re wearing heels, you better bring your A-game (or backup flats).
The venue operates as a more vanilla bar during the day (Leman Bar) and transforms into Le Boudoir by night. While daytime access gives you a peek, most play areas are strictly off-limits until after dark.
🥂 Bar – There isn’t a traditional bar, but the club is BYOB. Bring your favorite bottle and stash it in the shared fridge. You’ll find plastic cups, mixers, and ice to help you get your pre-play buzz on. If you forget your booze, there’s a convenience store next door that sells beer and wine. Chic and practical – what’s a swinger not to love?
🎵 DJ / Nightclub – The downstairs nightclub area is where the action heats up—literally. It’s a full-blown dancefloor with a DJ, flashing lights, and a soundtrack that keeps hips swaying. But be warned – it’s loud. Great for dancing and grinding, not great for conversation. If you’re trying to make a connection before making a move, you might need to find a quieter corner – or just lean in and get to the good part.
🛎️ Staff – Let’s talk staff, because here’s where it gets messy. On the surface, the team is warm, helpful, and super attentive (ONCE YOU GET IN). You’ll get a full tour, personalized suggestions, and sweet little check-ins throughout the night. But peel back the glitter and you’ll hear whispers of a not-so-sparkly past. The vetting process? Totally opaque. The rules? Random at best. And the owners have a reputation – think “you’re too fat, too tattooed, or too alternative” levels of rejection at the door. Some members have been turned away last minute, and if you’re a guy banking on your partner’s looks to get in, well… good luck. The vibe inside is lovely as all lifestyle folk are friendly folk, but if management’s attitude matters to you, just know this isn’t exactly the warm-and-fuzzy face of the lifestyle.
🍒 Playrooms – Playrooms are mostly tucked away on the top floor, including the infamous main open playroom with a massive orgy bed in the center. It’s hot, but not always discreet – people sometimes linger with drinks and chat while others are mid-thrust, which can kill the vibe depending on your style. Play early if you want your pick – private rooms tend to fill fast. If you want a cozy corner for two (or three), it’s best to make your move early. There’s also a bright but vibey dungeon, with just enough furniture to tempt without intimidating.
The big open playroom upstairs is where the real action happens. Think sultry moans, whispered negotiations, and that oh-so-satisfying sound of stiletto heels hitting the floor. The main bed area is a scene, but it can get chatty with nearby drinkers, so if you’re looking for quiet intimacy, opt for a private room or the darker spaces below. Bonus: the dungeon is bright enough to see the action but still holds a moody, sexy energy.
🔥 Vibe Check – This is the club for you if:
You’re conventionally attractive (or partnered with someone who is).
You like your play spaces curated, clean, and upscale.
You don’t mind exclusivity or its implications.
This club is all about aesthetic appeal. The dress code is strict, the lighting is flattering, and the people are beautiful – especially the women. But don’t expect diversity in body types or style; if you’re into alt looks or curves, this may not be your scene. The energy can range from electric to awkward depending on the crowd and night.
Saturdays are best for couples. Thursdays and Fridays lean more single male-heavy, and the behavior of those guests can be hit-or-miss. Some couples have sworn off those nights entirely due to poor etiquette from the solo guys. That said, we know plenty of people who adore this place – especially tourists who want a London lifestyle night that feels central, sleek, and sexy.
✅ Should You Go? – Yes, if you said yes to the boxes ticked in that vibe check. If you’re hot, stylish, confident, and curious. While we’re philosophically vehemently opposed to appearance-based vetting clubs, we’d definitely check it out when in London. Because we’re curious creatures, and let’s be honest – sometimes you want to dip your toe into the dark, sexy underbelly and make Le Boudoir your boudoir.
