Nestled in the industrial armpit of Tampa, this two-building truckstop club has metal detectors at both doors, a phone jail behind the counter, and a fishbowl-style couples room that feels more like performance art than passion. We’d heard the rumors, read the Reddit threads, and figured it was time to see for ourselves. Spoiler alert: we left feeling more frisked than frisky. But hey—some people like a little surveillance kink. So, here’s everything you need to know before you flash your ID, surrender your phone, and pray that what happens inside doesn’t feel like a bad airport layover.

👀 First Impressions – Pulling up to Eyz Wide Shut is déjà vu from a warehouse sex scene in a B-movie – two separate buildings, industrial exteriors, no curves in sight. You make your way to the first building, pass through a metal detector to enter the DJ/dance room, and think, this is… something. The space is large and loungey, with a bar, seating zones, even cornhole. But the vibe is off from the moment you’re zapped on the way in.
Later, wanting playrooms? Brace yourself: you exit outside, hit another metal detector, check in again, and lock up your phone in a cubby. It’s less sexy, more TSA-chic. By the time you reach the couples-only area—entering via attendant-with-key—you feel less aroused, more audited.
🎟️ Inside Tour – Nightclub Building – Inside the DJ/dance area, the space is big and spacious with a bar, lounge, and games. The cornhole setup is a goofy touch, but the metal detector at the door kind of kills the mood. Still, you can dance, chat, and sip in peace – if you’re ok with feeling like you’re at an airport rave.
🎟️ Inside Tour – Playroom Building – The journey continues outside into the second building, where another metal detector waits. You drop off your phone into a little cell phone cubby – no selfies, no connection, beware of the creepy single guys. Then, to enter the couples-only “fishbowl” room, you’ve gotta find a staffer who wields a key like an Uber gatekeeper. Doors open, and you step into a giant glass-walled room full of beds. Mostly single guys lining the perimeter, watching. It’s crowded, showy, and overexposed – not sexy or intimate at all. Around it? Private rooms that are almost always locked and occupied. Little opportunity to actually play. Nope – we’re out.
🥂 Bar – The bar’s your standard nightclub fare – liquor, mixers, beer. Unlike most swinger clubs, Eyz is not BYOB so plan to bring some money to shell out some cash (cash only bar!) for drinks like Peach Pussy, Face Licker, and Fuzzy Balls. The bar is your classic lounge-meets-industrial setup – strong drinks, cozy chat zones, and surprisingly reasonable happy-hour prices. According to Yelp, drinks before 10 PM are only $4, then jump to $9 after 10 PM. There’s also a smoking patio, cornhole area, and plenty of floorspace for mingling indoors. It’s less about bottle service, more about good vibes and low-key socializing.
🎵 DJ / Danceclub – Yep, there’s a legit dance floor, lounge spaces, and games (cornhole, billiards). The DJ spins club tunes, and the space is wide enough to mingle. But it still feels like a warehouse converted into a club, not a sexy playground. Early laughs happen with the afternoon tour, but the mood never fully recovers from the entrance process.

🍒 Playrooms – Getting to the playrooms at Eyz Wide Shut is… a journey. First, you exit the main bar building and head to a completely separate entrance – complete with another metal detector and more TSA vibes. Once inside, you’re asked to hand over your phone, which goes into a communal cubby behind the counter. Sexy? Not really.
Then comes the kicker – to access the couples-only arena, you have to track down an attendant with a key to physically unlock the door for you. It kills the momentum and only adds to the sterile, checkpoint-like feel that permeates the space. Are we adults or are we horny teenagers?
Inside the couples room? A giant round fishbowl. Beds and couches are everywhere, porn plays on flat-screens, and single guys line the glass like it’s their front-row ticket to your sexcapade. A little creepy, ngl. Private rooms exist, yes—dozens of them—but you’ll rarely find one unlocked or in use unless you arrive right at the playroom opening. We checked around: 90% locked. No play. There’s also a dungeon area, but it was completely dead on our visit – no demos, no crowd, just a collection of underutilized equipment. A missed opportunity if you ask us.
🔥 Vibe Check – Regulars describe it as hit-or-miss. Skanky on some nights, ok on others. The crowd skews younger than Caliente but older than… well, fresh-faced. Some folks dress up, some seem like they rolled out of a Sunday brunch with no effort. You’ll see both hot couples and those wearing oversized tees and Crocs. The inconsistency drags down the whole experience.
⚠️ Would we go back? – Maybe once – just to settle the score. But we’ve been to better sex clubs without TSA-level interference. This place delivers some vibe, but it’s overshadowed by metal detectors, fishbowls, and locked doors. Sexy? Not exactly. Intriguing? Sure. But if Eyz Wide Shut is on your radar, we’d say lower your expectations – and bring patience.
