If you told me the hottest swinger club in Vegas was tucked inside a sad, abandoned strip mall that screams “tax office meets foreclosure warehouse,” I would’ve laughed. And yet – here we are. Because behind a nondescript door in the loneliest corner of Las Vegas is PlayhouseLV, a members-only club that promises curated hotties, well-behaved single men, and tastefully kinky vibes.

And listen, we were skeptical. We’ve always been team no vetting, lovers of the “everyone’s welcome” lifestyle ethos. But after falling in lust with a few vetted clubs in Europe (hi Flirts, hi Les Chandelles), we decided to give PlayhouseLV a chance.

👀 First Impressions – Let’s start with that strip mall. Deserted. Barren. Creepy AF. At first, we thought our Uber driver dropped us off at the wrong location (I’m serious!) -until we spotted the barely-visible street red streets number above the plain gray door. Real speakeasy energy, minus the glam.

Inside? Popcorn ceiling tiles, office carpeting, and a lobby that screams “glam chiropractor.” But damn if it wasn’t clean, surprisingly chic, and redecorated well. They’ve worked hard to turn this former office into a mood. Think – club lighting, tasteful art, and velvet ropes separating fantasy from the fluorescents.

Check-in is quick but formal. Show your ID or QR code, confirm your prepaid ticket (yes, online payment is preferred – no cash chaos here), and get ready for the wristband decision. Neon red means “single men, stay away.” Neon green? “Come get some, boys.” Kat picked green, obviously. Glowing green and ready. First timers get the VIP treatment with a full club tour – usually from one of the friendly staff or, if you’re lucky, the friendly owners themselves, Dave & Nicole.

🎟️ Inside Tour –The club is bigger than it looks. Beyond the small check-in office and super friendly staff, you walk into the heart of the club – a surprisingly spacious and sleek common area. Think 5 or 6 sectional couches arranged for mingling, cuddling, or giving that “we’re open to chat” look. It’s giving swinger cocktail hour energy, but make it horny.

There’s a bar to sit and hang, or grab a non-alcoholic drink. In the middle of the space is an open dance area where a real DJ spins legit club vibes. No Bluetooth playlists here – this is curated, bass-thumping, body-swaying energy. If you want to get your flirt on with a grind and a wink, this is your moment.

But wait, there’s more. Beyond the main lounge is a second large gathering room that feels like a sexy town hall. This “meeting room” opens up to the club’s play zones, giving off “last call for monogamy” energy as midnight approaches and the real fun begins. It’s a natural transition from chatty cocktail hour to “did they just…?” voyeurism.

🥂 Bar – Like all Vegas clubs, no booze here. PlayhouseLV is a dry club due to zoning (like Green Door) – but they provide mixers, ice, sodas, and all the fixings. The pro move? Word on the street is that a little splash-splash from your locker isn’t unheard of. Just don’t flaunt it like a freshman with a fake ID. The bar helpers are sweet, and tipping is appreciated – they’re working hard to keep your cranberry juice classy.

🎵 DJ / Danceclub – The DJ at PlayhouseLV brings real club energy. The music is sexy, pulse-thumping, and just the right volume to flirt without yelling. The lighting hits that perfect sweet spot between sultry and social (read: no one’s getting a migraine or spotlighted like a deer in heat).

Now here’s where Playhouse flips the script. This place is built on forced mingling. Doors open at 10 PM, but playrooms are on lockdown until midnight. Yup — junk stays zipped, play is paused, and everyone’s herded into the main room to mix, mingle, sip, and yes, dance. And to their credit, it works – even on a slower night, couples were out there moving and grooving like it was prom with fewer clothes and better lighting.

It’s a bold strategy to get strangers talking before the sexy times begin, and in some ways, it’s genius. It forces interaction, warms everyone up socially, and adds a fun buildup to the night. But also… we’re all grown-ass adults here. The idea that we need to be told when we’re allowed to play? Kinda kills the spontaneity. Further, doors are shut firmly at midnight, so if you wanted a little late night Vegas jaunt, you’re totally out of luck! Even for a unicorn we met, they turned her away at 1am!

🍒 Playrooms – PlayhouseLV has about a dozen playrooms, all cut from the same cloth, or more accurately, carved out of former office spaces. Each room is outfitted with a large bed (complete with a headboard), two nightstands stocked with condoms, lube, and fresh towels, and dim lighting that whispers “classy” more than “kinky.” It’s all tasteful, clean, and pleasantly uniform… maybe too uniform. Like, if you’ve seen one, you’ve kinda seen them all.

When the clock strikes 12, it’s like swinger Cinderella — except instead of losing a glass slipper, you’re losing your shot at a bed. The playrooms finally open, and there’s a full-on rush. Beds fill up fast, couples scramble for spots, and if you’re too slow, you might just end up edged out and awkwardly watching from the hallway.

There’s also a designated couples-only zone (used on single guy nights), where things open up a bit more. Picture a larger group room with four beds set catty-corner to each other in a big open space, separated by sheer curtains. It’s not quite an orgy arena, but it definitely creates opportunities for voyeurism, exhibitionism, and some playful side-by-side crossover. You might not get full-blown group chaos, but you’ll definitely get a show – or star in one. About 75 or so high school style lockers are at your disposal to store your snuck-in booze, a change in clothes or some hidden vibrators for later.

🕵️‍♀️ Vetting – Ah, the great debate. PlayhouseLV is vetted. That means not everyone gets in. And we’ve seen the tales around Reddit of those that have been denied. It breaks your heart, truly. You have to apply, send pics, and get approved. In theory, the vetting promises a curated crowd – but in reality? It didn’t exactly scream model material or wall-to-wall HWP. And for those being turned away? That’s the part that stings. Because let’s be real – gatekeeping isn’t exactly the spirit of the lifestyle.

The wristband system for single men (Friday nights only) is chef’s kiss – Kat felt totally in control, and the guys wearing their best cologne and their best behavior? Much appreciated. Nobody was gropey, and the vibe was sexy, not sketchy. It’s the rare night where the small handful of single guys felt more vetted than couples on some apps.

🔥 Vibe Check – This is not Red Rooster. This is not Whispers. This is Vegas’s polished, curated, no-nonsense swinger spot. It’s sexy, it’s structured, and it runs on a smooth rhythm – mingle, flirt, midnight run to the playrooms. You’ll find HWP couples, stylish women, and men who understand the assignment. No raucous screaming, no chaotic naked karaoke – just sensual, elevated energy. There’s still a lot of watching (like, a lot), but if you lean into the vibe, it’s a voyeur’s playground with just enough kink and class.

✅ Would we go back? – Absolutely. We went during a slower night, so the crowd was thinner than usual – and, to be honest, we left early to keep a very hot planned threesome rendezvous back at our hotel (priorities, right?). But the vibe was good, the club was clean, and we liked the structure even if we side-eyed the vetting. We’ll definitely be back to give it another whirl on a busier night.

If you’re in Vegas and want an upscale night where everyone actually gets it – this is your move. Just don’t let the strip mall scare you off. Behind that sad beige door? Swinger gold. All our friends have raved about PlayhouseLV – so they’re clearly doing something right. If you can get past the popcorn ceilings and the oddly authoritarian ‘no play ’til midnight’ policy (like, we’re adults, not teenagers at a church lock-in) then yeah, you just might have a great time.
