👀 First Impressions – You ring the buzzer like you’re entering a secret speakeasy dive bar, and the doorman/bouncer/bartender welcomes you into a tiny coat check area. Jackets off. Phones locked up. €10 deposit. And then you’re in. No red carpets, no velvet ropes – just dim red lighting, the soft hum of bass, and a blowjob happening quietly beside the towel rack.
The crowd? All ages, international, in a very “we-just-had-edibles-by-a-canal” kind of way. The vibe? Friendly but spicy. No pretension, just pleasure.

🎵 Bar/Danceclub – It’s a bar first, sex club second, which means drinks come first. There’s no live DJ, but the music is sexy and lowkey. Think sultry, not sweaty. Cash only (yes, really), and you’ll need to hit your €20 drink minimum. No fancy cocktail list, but it gets the job done.
The bartender? Dead ringer for the guy from Whiplash – you know, the hard-charging jazz instructor who screams about tempo. Except here, he’s also the bouncer. One minute he’s slinging beers, the next he’s buzzing in couples at the door like a one-man lifestyle band. Busy, harried, and somehow keeping it all from falling apart even with 20 couples waving cash and craving cocktails. Bonus points for how easy it is to sit and watch the room shift from flirty to filthy in the time it takes to sip a G&T.
🍒 Playrooms –This is where Sameplace goes from “cute Amsterdam bar” to “did that guy just get a blowjob next to the Heineken tap?”
You can play right in the main bar area, upstairs on a big bed in front of a couch of wide-eyed voyeurs, or head downstairs to the dark, delicious dungeon. There’s even a glory hole if you’re feeling bold, plus massage tables and a windowed room for semi-private fun. You won’t see tons of couple swapping, but mutual masturbation and same-room sex? Abundant and hot.
💦 Spa/Sauna – LOL. There isn’t one. This ain’t that kind of establishment. You’ll get no towel and vibes. That’s it.
🌳 Outdoors – None to speak of. Unless you count the street outside when you’re catching your Uber home with sex hair and a satisfied smirk. For reference: €12–€15 from central Amsterdam via Uber or Bolt. Or be Dutch – and bike!
🔥 Vibe Check – Let’s call it “grunge-chic with a side of kink.” You’re not here for plush amenities – you’re here for the thrill. And it’s in the center of Amsterdam. There’s an anything-goes energy, but it’s still respectful. You can wear jeans, you can wear nothing, and no one will bat an eye.
The single men? Surprisingly well-behaved. Most nights have a good balance (1 guy to every 3–4 couples), and on Sundays it’s couples-only. The Tuesday we went had a single solitary single guy there for the 20 couples. Expect a mixed crowd from all over the world, 20s to 50s, all shapes and sizes. Some are there to watch, some to play, some to just soak it all in with a drink and wide eyes.
✅ Would we go back? – Absolutely. Not for the glamour, but for the raw, real, dirty-fun energy. It’s not the cleanest or sleekest spot in the lifestyle, but damn if it isn’t surprisingly decent. We expected it to be terrible, but it was totally OK. Great in a pinch if you can’t get yourself to Fata Morgana or Fun4Two. If you go in expecting a 5-star swinger spa, you’ll be disappointed. But if you’re down for Amsterdam grunge, good vibes, and a crowd that actually plays? You’re gonna love Sameplace.
